- Clinical Pharmacists
There is a Clinical Pharmacist based in every practice in the Rural Alliance PCN. Clinical Pharmacists play a critical role in patient care through medication management, conducting medication reviews, providing advice on medication usage, and supporting chronic disease management.
- First Contact Physiotherapists
The Rural Alliance have first contact physiotherapists available in all our locations. First Contact Physiotherapists (FCPs) are experienced clinicians in GP surgeries who act as the first point of contact for patients with musculoskeletal (MSK) issues, such as back, neck, or joint pain. They independently assess, diagnose, and create management plans, allowing for faster access to care.
- Social Prescribing Link Workers
Social Prescribing Link Workers (SPLWs) in the NHS connect patients with non-medical, community-based support to improve health and wellbeing. Working within our GP practices, they take a "what matters to me" approach to address social, emotional, and practical needs—such as loneliness, debt, or housing.
